Tara Horton is the Training Coordinator for the Management Development Institute and the Small Business Development Center and a 20-year employee of Missouri State University (MSU).

Prior to joining MSU in February of 2000, Tara’s previous work experience includes media sales, marketing, advertising and public relations.  Tara is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.

Tara serves the Ozark Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America as the Executive Board’s  Vice President of Marketing, as a Springfield Little Theatre Education Angel and volunteer, is an MSU Bear Connection Mentor and a 2004 graduate of MSU’s University Staff Ambassadors.  In addition, Tara is the Staff Advisor for MSU’s Alpha Chi Omega social sorority and an active member of Theta Kappa Theta the Southwest Missouri Alumnae organization for Alpha Chi Omega.
